Tester (Quality Assurance / Quality Control)
About the Role
Our client is an internationally recognized creative animation and digital production studio known for original episodic IP, commercial campaigns, dynamic motion graphics, and game cinematics.
They are looking for a meticulous Tester (QA / QC) to bridge the gap between creative artistry and technical delivery. In this role, you will ensure every frame, asset, and sequence meets the highest industry standards before reaching global audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct visual and technical quality control across 2D/3D animation, game trailers, TVCs, and motion design assets to catch dropped frames, rendering glitches, artifacts, and sync issues.
- Design, document, and execute structured test cases, acceptance criteria, and QC checklists for original IP and commercial deliverables.
- Log, classify, and track defects in Jira or Redmine, providing reproducible steps, annotated screenshots, and timestamped video references.
- Perform thorough regression and sanity checks on revised cuts and re-rendered assets to ensure issue resolution while maintaining artistic continuity.
- Verify cross-platform delivery compliance across various aspect ratios, devices, color spaces, bitrates, and container formats.
Requirements
- Proven professional QA or digital media QC experience within an animation studio, game development studio, creative agency, or post-production environment.
- Strong proficiency in testing methodologies, including test case authoring, exploratory testing, and regression cycles.
- Hands-on experience with defect tracking systems such as Jira, Redmine, or equivalent tools.
- Solid understanding of 2D/3D animation pipelines, digital video rendering formats, frame rates, and media delivery specs.
- Exceptional visual attention to detail regarding motion continuity, rendering artifacts, A/V sync, and color consistency.
