AI Developer (Generative AI & Animation)

Salary: 100,000 – 150,000 THB / approx. $2,800 – $4,200 USD (70M – 105M VND) per month
About the Role
Our client is a well-established creative animation studio in Ho Chi Minh City recognized for producing high-caliber 2D, 3D, and hybrid animated content. They are seeking a forward-thinking AI Developer to bridge the gap between machine learning and digital content creation.
In this role, you will integrate generative AI into the studio’s core creative pipeline, developing proprietary workflows, fine-tuning custom models, and building dedicated tools to empower artists and directors.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect Generative Pipelines: Design and deploy production-ready AI workflows (diffusion models, image/video translation) for background generation, clean-up, and visual effects across 2D/3D animation.
- Model Training & Fine-Tuning: Train and curate proprietary LoRAs, ControlNets, and checkpoint models in PyTorch to maintain strict character and visual consistency.
- DCC Integration: Build custom nodes, plugins, and scripts connecting generative engines (e.g., ComfyUI) directly into tools like Blender, Maya, Photoshop, and After Effects.
- Microservices & APIs: Develop low-latency RESTful APIs and inference endpoints using FastAPI or Flask for internal artists and remote teams.
- Performance Optimization: Accelerate model inference using TensorRT, ONNX, and quantization on dedicated studio GPU infrastructure with Docker and Git.
Requirements
- Core Foundation: Degree in Computer Science, AI, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience, with advanced Python skills and clean coding standards.
- Generative Frameworks: Proven hands-on experience with PyTorch, Stable Diffusion, SDXL, Flux, ControlNet, IP-Adapter, and video diffusion models.
- Style & Consistency: Track record of fine-tuning models and training custom LoRAs to preserve character identity, line art, and multi-frame consistency.
- Computer Vision & Backend: Solid experience with OpenCV (segmentation, edge detection, pose estimation) and building APIs with FastAPI or Flask.
- Infrastructure & Collaboration: Proficiency in Docker, Linux/CUDA environments, and the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to creative leads and animators.
