Project Engineering Manager

About the Role

Our client, a leading global manufacturer of specialized medical technologies, is seeking an experienced and proactive Project Engineering Manager to join their high-precision manufacturing facility in Bangkok. In this leadership role, you will take full ownership of capital expenditure (CapEx) initiatives, facility enhancements, and production automation projects.

Key Responsibilities

CapEx Project Leadership: Direct end-to-end capital projects from concept to handover, managing multi-million budgets, project schedules, resource allocation, and technical risk assessments.
Layout & Process Optimization: Design and optimize plant layouts, production lines, and cleanroom environments using AutoCAD to maximize workflow efficiency and throughput.
Equipment Specification & Procurement: Formulate technical specifications (URS/FDS) for automated machinery, assembly systems, and site utilities while managing vendor evaluations.
Contractor & Vendor Governance: Manage external engineering contractors and equipment OEMs to ensure strict adherence to quality, safety, milestone, and commercial standards.
Commissioning & Regulatory Compliance: Lead equipment qualification and validation activities (FAT/SAT, IQ/OQ/PQ) in full alignment with ISO 13485, GMP, and safety standards.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Mechatronics Engineering (or a related field).
8+ years of progressive project engineering and technical management experience within high-precision manufacturing (e.g., medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or cleanroom environments).
Proven track record in delivering large-scale CapEx projects, automation systems, and facility layout design using AutoCAD.
In-depth expertise in equipment qualification lifecycles (URS, FAT/SAT, IQ/OQ/PQ) alongside GMP and ISO 13485 compliance.
Strong leadership and vendor management capabilities, with fluent Thai communication and professional working proficiency in English.
