Lean Engineer
Location: Rayong, Thailand
Salary: 32,000 – 55,000 THB / month + Comprehensive Benefits
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and data-driven Lean Engineer on behalf of a leading international manufacturing company based in Rayong. In this role, you will champion operational excellence and continuous improvement (Kaizen) across advanced manufacturing and assembly operations, partnering with cross-functional teams to eliminate waste, maximize OEE, and streamline production flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Value Stream Mapping & Line Balancing: Conduct time and motion studies, balance assembly lines, and map workflows to reduce WIP and optimize cycle times.
- Root Cause Problem Solving: Facilitate structured problem-solving initiatives (DMAIC, 8D, 5 Whys) to minimize process defects, scrap, and unplanned downtime.
- Standardization & Visual Management: Drive plant-wide 5S standards, visual control boards, and SMED techniques to reduce changeover times and boost machine availability.
- Plant Layout & Material Flow: Design and optimize production cell layouts, workstation ergonomics, and internal logistics to improve line efficiency.
- Lean Culture & KPI Tracking: Train production personnel on standard work execution and monitor key operational metrics, including OEE and cost-saving targets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2–5+ years of hands-on Lean / Continuous Improvement experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Solid command of core Lean tools (VSM, Line Balancing, Standard Work, 5S, SMED).
- Practical experience applying structured problem-solving methodologies (DMAIC, 8D) within an ISO 9001 framework.
- Good communication skills in both English and Thai.
Nice to Have
- Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt / Black Belt).
- CAD proficiency for facility layout design.
- Experience in automotive, precision assembly, or composite manufacturing sectors.
