Production Planning Officer
About the Role
Our client, an established manufacturing business, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Production Planning Officer to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring production activities to ensure customer orders are delivered on time, production targets are met, and resources are utilized efficiently.
This position requires flexibility to work across locations in the Silom area and Nonthaburi.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive production schedules based on customer orders, capacity, and deadlines.
- Monitor daily production output, work-in-progress (WIP), and overall progress to ensure alignment with planned timelines.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Production, Warehouse, and Purchasing teams to ensure smooth workflow and material availability.
- Proactively identify potential delays, material shortages, or bottlenecks, adjusting production schedules as necessary.
- Track delayed orders and implement solutions to guarantee on-time delivery.
- Analyze operational data and generate reports on production status, capacity utilization, and delivery performance.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date production planning records and support ad-hoc operational tasks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Background in production planning, production control, or manufacturing operations.
- Solid understanding of production workflows, material planning, and inventory management.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard office computer applications.
- Good communication and coordination skills, with a good command of English.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
- Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and perform effectively under pressure.
- Flexibility to travel and work between locations in Bangkok (Silom) and Nonthaburi.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience working within the jewelry manufacturing sector or a similar precision-manufacturing environment.
