Senior NPI / Process Engineer
Location: Samut Prakan, Thailand
Position Type: Full-time, Permanent
About the Role
We are partnering with a premier international manufacturer known for high-precision micro-mechanical components and assemblies. They are currently seeking an experienced Senior NPI / Process Engineer to bridge the gap between design industrialisation and high-volume manufacturing.
In this role, you will lead the introduction of complex micro-mechanical parts, qualifying production lines where micron-level tolerances and uncompromising quality standards are the daily benchmark.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead NPI & Process Transfer: Drive the end-to-end New Product Introduction (NPI) cycle, leading Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews and scaling pilot runs to stable, high-volume production.
- Process Optimisation: Design, validate, and enhance precision manufacturing processes—including micro-machining, stamping, tooling fixtures, and assembly flows—to secure optimal cycle times and yields.
- Quality & Risk Mitigation: Conduct thorough PFMEAs across all project phases, embedding mistake-proofing (Poka-Yoke) and robust process control plans.
- Advanced Metrology & SPC: Establish inspection standards using optical systems and advanced metrology, tracking SPC parameters and process capability ($C_p / C_{pk}$) to guarantee dimensional compliance.
- Continuous Improvement: Spearhead structured root-cause investigations (8D, 5-Why) and champion Lean/Kaizen initiatives to resolve line bottlenecks and maintain international quality compliance.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics, or Materials Science Engineering (or related discipline).
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on NPI and process engineering experience within precision micro-mechanics, precision tooling, or high-tolerance electro-mechanical manufacturing.
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrated capability in working with micron-level tolerances, tooling/fixture qualification, and advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical inspection).
- Quality Toolkit: Strong proficiency in PFMEAs, Control Plans, capability studies, SPC, and structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5-Why).
- Tools & Communication: Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or NX) and GD&T; fluent Thai with good professional English communication skills.
