DLyte Surface Finishing Specialist
About the Role
Our client, a leading global manufacturer of high-precision micro-mechanical components based in Thailand, is seeking a skilled DLyte Surface Finishing Specialist. In this role, you will act as the subject matter expert in DryLyte (dry electropolishing) technology, driving process optimization, precision deburring, and high-spec finishing for intricate miniature assemblies.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate advanced DLyte dry electropolishing systems for micro-mechanical components.
- Fine-tune machine parameters (voltage, cycle times, frequency, movement profiles) to achieve target surface roughness (Ra/Rz) and mirror finishes within micro-tolerances.
- Collaborate with tooling and production teams to design and optimize specialized workpiece fixtures for maximum batch efficiency and uniform electrical contact.
- Inspect finished components using optical microscopes, profilometers, and precision measuring tools.
- Troubleshoot surface irregularities, maintain solid electrolyte media, and develop robust SOPs in line with EHS, RoHS, and REACH standards.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Micro-technology, or a related discipline.
- Proven hands-on experience setting up and operating DLyte / DryLyte dry electropolishing machinery.
- Strong background in precision surface finishing, deburring, or polishing of miniature metal components (e.g., stainless steel, titanium, brass, or specialty alloys).
- Proficiency with surface roughness testers, profilometers, and optical/digital microscopes.
- Solid understanding of micro-fixturing, electrical conductivity, and electrolytic media.
