About the Role
Our client, a premier global Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) provider, is seeking an accomplished Operations Director to lead their expanding manufacturing facility in Thailand.
Operating at the forefront of mission-critical hardware production—including AI data center and cloud infrastructure—this executive role holds full operational and P&L accountability across large-scale PCBA and complex electro-mechanical box-build systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Plant & P&L Leadership: Direct end-to-end plant operations—including PCBA manufacturing, system integration, planning, supply chain, and facilities—with complete budget and P&L ownership.
- Strategic Operations: Establish and execute site-level strategies to optimize on-time delivery, cycle times, yield, and overall plant profitability.
- NPI & Engineering Excellence: Lead cross-functional New Product Introduction (NPI) programs, partnering with customer engineering teams to optimize DFM and eliminate production bottlenecks.
- Continuous Improvement: Champion Lean Six Sigma and World Class Manufacturing (WCM) methodologies across SMT and box-build lines to enhance OEE and reduce scrap.
- Customer Executive Engagement: Serve as the primary operational partner for tier-one global clients, leading technical reviews, capacity planning, and new program quotations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial).
- 11+ years of progressive operations leadership experience within a Tier-1 or Tier-2 EMS or contract manufacturing environment.
- Deep technical expertise across high-density SMT, PCBA, automated testing, and complex box-build or rack integration.
- Proven track record managing multi-departmental manufacturing operations with direct P&L accountability.
- Strong background in NPI lifecycle management and quality standards.
- Professional fluency in English with executive-level stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
