Infrastructure & Cloud Operations Engineer
About the Role
Our client, a UK-headquartered global engineering leader in power distribution solutions, is seeking a dedicated Infrastructure & Cloud Operations Engineer to join their ICT team in Thailand.
In this dynamic position, you will split time between a commercial hub in Bangkok and a key regional manufacturing facility in Rayong, while collaborating with global IT teams. You will provision, automate, secure, and maintain multi-cloud environments across AWS and Microsoft Azure alongside hybrid on-premises infrastructure, ensuring high availability, continuous integration, and robust cybersecurity for regional operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provision, configure, and maintain scalable AWS and Azure cloud environments supporting global enterprise applications.
- Design and deploy automated infrastructure configurations using Terraform and Ansible for consistent, audited deployments.
- Administer hybrid Linux (Ubuntu/RHEL) and Windows Server environments, including virtualization and containerization platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Implement secure DevSecOps practices and automate deployment workflows using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Maintain secure network operations, configuring site-to-site VPNs, routers, switches, and firewalls connecting manufacturing, office, and global data links.
- Configure monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) and resolve technical incidents adhering to ITIL standards.
- Manage enterprise backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures for critical systems.
- Maintain infrastructure compliance in line with corporate ICT security protocols and global standards (ISO/IEC frameworks).
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Cloud Infrastructure: 3–5 years of hands-on experience managing enterprise cloud environments on AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
- Automation & IaC: Proven experience writing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible.
- Systems Administration: Strong experience administering both Linux (Ubuntu/RHEL) and Windows Server environments.
- Scripting: Proficient in operational scripting using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Containers & Virtualization: Practical knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Networking & Security: Solid experience with IP routing, subnetting, firewalls, and site-to-site VPN configuration.
