Program Director (Customer Focus Team Director)
About the Role
Our client, a global tier-1 electronics manufacturing and hardware platform solutions leader, is seeking an accomplished Program Director (Customer Focus Team Director) based in Thailand.
Operating with the autonomy and scope of a mini-General Manager, you will report directly to the Site General Manager while aligning with global account leadership. In this role, you will take full operational and commercial ownership of high-complexity enterprise hardware programs, orchestrating multidisciplinary teams to deliver next-generation AI and cloud infrastructure platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Executive Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a dedicated Customer Focus Team across Program Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Operations to ensure end-to-end delivery of client commitments.
- Full P&L Stewardship: Own the business unit’s financial performance, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, pricing models, Accounts Receivable (A/R), and Return on Invested Capital (ROIC).
- NPI to Mass Production: Oversee seamless New Product Introduction (NPI) processes and high-volume production ramps for mission-critical enterprise hardware.
- Operational Excellence: Drive site operational priorities, facilitate Monthly Operating Reviews (MOR), and implement swift corrective action plans to maintain high delivery and quality standards.
- Executive Client Engagement: Act as the primary site executive interface for client leadership, managing strategic negotiations and partnering with global teams to secure program expansions.
Requirements
- EMS Industry Track Record: 11–14+ years of progressive electronics manufacturing experience within a tier-1 or tier-2 EMS/ODM environment.
- Functional Background: Minimum of 2 years in Program/Account Management combined with at least 2 years in Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing Finance.
- Matrix Leadership: Proven success managing large, multidisciplinary site teams through subordinate functional managers.
- Financial Acumen: Direct experience managing manufacturing P&L forecasting, budgets, service billings, inventory control, and capital performance metrics.
- Technical Breadth: Strong working knowledge of complex electronics assembly, test methodologies, and NPI lifecycles (cloud compute, enterprise networking, storage, or rack integration preferred).
