In this full-time role, you will serve as a key technical authority within the engineering team. You will take direct ownership of multihull hydrodynamics, composite structural design, and systems integration—guiding projects from initial 3D concepts through prototype fabrication and offshore sea trials.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize high-performance multihull hull forms for ride comfort, resistance profiles, and fuel efficiency.
- Produce Class-A 3D surface models, detailed production assemblies, and CNC-ready tooling packages using Rhino and Maxsurf.
- Calculate mass properties, center of gravity, and intact/damaged hydrostatics to ensure ISO/CE and ABYC compliance.
- Engineer advanced composite laminate schedules and structural bulkheads for optimal strength, rigidity, and weight.
- Coordinate marine systems integration (propulsion, electrical, plumbing) and lead inclining experiments and open-water sea trials.
Requirements
- Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Yacht Design, or a related discipline.
- Proven engineering experience with catamaran or multihull vessels, specifically in twin-hull hydrodynamics and stability.
- Advanced proficiency in marine design and analysis software (e.g., Rhino 3D, Maxsurf, Orca3D, AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Practical knowledge of composite manufacturing processes (vacuum infusion, hand lay-up, sandwich cores) and relevant marine standards (CE/ISO, ABYC).
- Professional English communication skills; must be able to work on-site in Rayong, Thailand.
