Industrial Engineer
About the Role
Our client is a leading global manufacturer specializing in prestige merchandising, custom Point-of-Sale (POS) displays, and high-end luxury packaging. Operating a state-of-the-art facility in Chonburi, Thailand, they partner with some of the world's most prestigious luxury and beauty brands.
They are seeking a skilled and passionate Industrial Engineer for a permanent, full-time role. In this position, you will bridge the gap between technical design and highly efficient, sustainable production. You will play a pivotal role in optimizing manufacturing processes, designing agile facility layouts, and implementing Lean methodologies, while supporting a strong commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and eco-design.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Optimization: Analyze end-to-end manufacturing workflows to eliminate waste, reduce cycle times, and improve overall production efficiency.
- Facility Layout Design: Utilize AutoCAD and SolidWorks to design, modify, and optimize production line layouts, ensuring smooth material flow for high-mix, low-volume production runs.
- Time & Motion Studies: Conduct structured time and motion studies to establish standard working hours, optimize labor allocation, and balance assembly lines.
- Capacity Planning: Perform capacity analysis and production forecasting to ensure the plant meets fluctuating seasonal demands.
- Eco-Design & Sustainability: Collaborate on Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) on the production floor to identify opportunities to reduce carbon footprint, minimize waste, and utilize recycled materials.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure process engineering activities align with ISO quality management systems and international social accountability standards (e.g., SA8000).
- Continuous Improvement: Lead Kaizen events and drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives (5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kanban) to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Project Management: Manage engineering projects from concept to execution, tracking KPIs and delivering regular progress reports to local and global management in English.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience in industrial or process engineering within a manufacturing environment (experience in packaging, furniture, POS displays, or high-precision assembly is highly preferred).
