Assistant Production Manager

About the Role

Our client, an established international manufacturer specializing in bespoke point-of-sale (POS) displays, retail merchandising, and luxury packaging solutions, is looking for a dynamic Assistant Production Manager.

In this role, you will bridge technical engineering design with high-precision manufacturing execution, overseeing day-to-day fabrication and multi-material assembly lines serving premier global brands.

Key Responsibilities

Production Execution: Manage daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules across multi-material assembly lines to ensure on-time delivery and optimal operational efficiency.
Team Leadership: Direct, mentor, and develop production supervisors, team leaders, and line technicians while fostering a culture of safety and high performance.
Technical Translation: Interpret complex engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM) to manage material routing and execution across plastics, metals, wood, and cardboard substrates.
Continuous Improvement: Champion Lean Manufacturing initiatives (5S, Kaizen, Gemba walks, VSM) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA/8D) to eliminate waste and resolve line bottlenecks.
Quality & Systems Tracking: Partner with QA/QC to ensure strict aesthetic and dimensional standards, utilizing ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP) to track WIP, scrap rates, and material yields.

Requirements

5+ years of progressive manufacturing operations experience, including 2–3+ years in a supervisory or assistant management role.
Background in multi-material fabrication, POS displays, luxury packaging, or precision light-industrial assembly.
Proven ability to read and interpret CAD-derived engineering drawings and BOMs.
Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP) for production planning and tracking.
Practical mastery of Lean Manufacturing, 5S methodologies, and structured root-cause problem-solving.
Fluent in Thai with professional working proficiency in English.
